This week has been a little bit stressful.  Yesterday I took Chloe in for a lump in her throat which I assumed would be no big deal as I have had a couple in my neck and my dad has several all over his little body.  Also, Mike had a cyst removed a couple years ago and Saydee has a hernia on her belly that looks really similar, so just for safety sake, I took her in.  Long story short, we ended up doing testing all day and... whew... did that bring up some old memories!  Needless to say, I'm pooped.  I am pregnant, emotional, flighty, spacy, moody... and I can't keep my house anything close to the description of "CLEAN."

This morning I must've started throwing a fit about the condition of the house, which I don't really recall.  I remember feeling frustrated and upset about it but I think I was just ranting under breath...

Saydee spoke up and said..."You know, Mom... Life is really important.  That's the difference between you and me.  I pay attention to life and you pay attention to messes and messy houses."

SPEECHLESS!

Anyone who knows me, knows I do EVERYTHING for my kids.  My house is a mess EVERY single day.  I clean it several times a day because that's what a home with two little children requires.  This is somewhat of a mystery since my house is NEVER clean.  If you have ever popped in to see me, you already know this.  I will NOT miss a family trip, drive, activity to stay home and clean.  I will not miss out on opportunites of playdates, meal times, etc because my house is messy.  So, low blow Sayds.  I can never win. 

Sometimes I just want to say, "You're right everyone... It's foolish of me to think we could live in a world where milkshakes aren't on floors, dirty clothes weren't mixed in with clean ones, sand wasn't in beds, wet towels weren't on floors, dishes didn't smell like dirty bums, and little toys weren't spread across the floor like home decor... dangerous, sharp, OUCHIE home decor...
