So, this feels weird to BLOG about but, since I hope to print these out one day, I think ya have to look back at both the good and the bad. I took a picture of Chloe at Primary Children's in her baby hospital gown because it was both the cutest and saddest thing I'd ever seen. It was on my phone so it's not the greatest quality, but I couldn't pass it up.
For those of you who don't know, Chloe had a really bad infection that started in her urinary tract and made it's way to her kidneys and blood stream. Our only flag was her fever that spiked one night and was not responding to medication. She also began to have tremors and look really vacant in the eyes, which is HIGHLY uncommon for her. She is always so engaging and playful. She even gave smiles here and there through test after test as yucky as spinal taps and ct scans. She is a real trooper and I want to give her props for that.
So, I'm not going to give a play-by-play of what happened because I'm just not feelin it, but to sum up, Chloe had a bad go and then just as she seemed to be getting better... the very only day she was beginning to act herself... she got RSV. Blast! We are at home doing breathing treatments every four hours for a few days and then as needed after. Hopefully she is on the mend. There was no more bacteria in her blood nor her urine at last check, so this is great news. She still seems to be having some trouble with her ears even on two seperate antibiotics targeting both infections. However, I have hope and faith that this is the downhill slide. We are there. I won't ask what else could happen, cuz I've made that mistake before. Now, for therapy purposes, I'm just gonna let loose on some emotions I've been feeling and try to make peace with em. (This would be the part you scroll on through if you're not in the mood;) On second thought...I'm feeling really spent today, so... I will write these feelings down later. A day when I have the energy to release.
