Chloe Gracen Greene is ONE!

I will add more pictures later because I have some specifics in mind.  However, I just wanted to list some milestones Chloe is reaching at ONE YEAR OLD today.  And, since it is this very day I wanted to capture my exact thoughts:

Chloe is SUNSHINE.  If you know her at all, you know this to be true.  She lights up whenever she is given an ounce of attention.  She makes the cutest little face when she gets embarrassed where her nose gets all crinkled up and her eyes squint and you can see her two front teeth and her adorable gap.  It is my absolute favorite!


She has the most beautiful eyes of anyone I've EVER seen.  Honest.  She gets a million compliments a day.  She is the most photogenic person I've ever known and WOW, does she perform for the camera!


LIKES:  She LOVES her big sissy.  They play a game where Sayd says,

"Big Sissy!  Big Sissy!"  and she runs toward Chloe and Chloe just goes NUTS!  She laughs hysterically.  This game could go on for hours.  It's actually really entertaining!

She likes food, of course, but is pretty picky.  She is into dippin' nuggets in sweet and sour sauce at McDonald's and also LOVES ice cream.  She loves fruit punch Gatorade and water... milk, not so much.


She likes prefers balls to dolls and LOVES water of any sort.  Never cares if she is splashed or surprised.  Watching her sister at swimming lessons is borderline torture.


She likes pictures of babies, especially of HERSELF! 


She LOVES picture books particularly with animals in them.  She points to each picture and says, "S'dat?"


She likes toothbrushes.  She is borderline obsessed.  She gets everyone's toothbrushes out EVERY day and searches for any trace of remaining water.


Sayd has a High School Musical barbie that sings , "Right here!  and Right Now!"  and you mimic the song when she sings.  ADORABLE.

DISLIKES:  She does NOT like to pee in her diaper while she sleeps which causes her to moan and groan and wake several times per night (YES, STILL!)  and could possibly be the cause to her previous bladder infections.  She can hold it nearly 10 hours! 

She doesn't like milk as I said before but still LOVES momma milk.  She will crawl up behind me while I'm on the computer and lift the back of my shirt and suck my love handles... sorry for the info... but it's true... and would be funny if it weren't on myself.  She is weaned in the day though and only nurses at bed time.  Too bad "Bed Time" is an all night affair.


She HATES diaper changes.  She rolls and crawls and escapes by any means necessary.


She doesn't like being placed in her car seat.  Once she's buckled up, she's as happy as a clam... but the actual sitting her in it is bothersome to her... haven't figured that one out yet. 


To My Chloe:

Chloe.  The Chloster.  Chloe-girl.  Lo.  Lo-lee.  Clo.  Babe.  Baby.  Love.  Sister.  Sissy...

Sis, You are such a bright face in my day.  I struggle so badly with you waking up so frequently in the night, but when I wake I see your smiling face so big that even my blind eyes can tell you're grinning ear to ear, I can't do a thing but squeeze ya.  You are so precious.   You are so mellow and loving and sweet.  Your little voice is so high and your laugh is SO unique and contagious.  Your little shy expression you make that is entirely fake is the cutest, funniest thing I've ever seen.  You are so loved by your family and anyone who meets you.  You are engaging, endearing, uplifting, entertaining, and sweet.  Did I mention you are SWEET?  I love you baby girl.  I cannot say this year has been easy on you... or your parents... but it has been enjoyable, and the only reason it was so tough seeing you ill was because you are always so HAPPY and EASY, so if ever you aren't it's such a DRASTIC change. 

Your crawl is the cutest maneuver I've ever witnessed.  You are smart to protect your knees on our hardwood floors.  I need to get some video of it because you are NEARLY walking.  You may as well have a cast on one leg because you crawl as if so.  You take steps here and there and then look around like, "Am I crazy?  What am I thinking?" and then calmly and with much balance, sit or squat.  You have the cutest, tiniest feet and I think of them because I watch them so closely as you hold my finger and we walk together.  You also sneak up behind me and

hold onto my pant legs ALL day and walk while I walk. 

I love you and I hope you always continue to be outgoing, sweet, and personable.  You are the

cutest thing, doll.  Happy FIRST birthday!
